GrahamsBlog lives on-The Bipolar and Depression Blog

Hell, I never thought leaving GrahamsBlog to die would be so hard. I have been sent a number of emails asking why on earth would I want to close it down. Even after not really attending to it for so many months.

Since I have been concentrating on ImJustCreative, I have found that it was not really appropriate for me to talk about such personal thoughts and feelings to do with Mental Health, Bipolar and Depression. There are people who frown upon this, and as ImJustCreative, is my freelance venture, I needed to compartmentalize the professional from the personal to a degree.

But doing so left a gapping hole in my need to express myself. So, I very easily decided to try again with GrahamsBlog as I feel I do have lots to say and share.

However, there will be further carnage ahead. As with ImJustCreative, I am heading this TypePad Blog to WordPress as a self-hosted solution. So the next few days will be a bit messy. Also, my various RSS and Email feed's are a bit tangled up due to some problems with Feedburner etc.

So it is likely I will have to start over again trying to encourage you subscribe and join in. I'm not sure yet if I am to keep the original name 'GrahamsBlog' or switch it over to 'ALucidMind' which has always been my strapline. I have already caused disruption with my changing of minds, so changing the name, I might as well get it all out of the system now.

More news here in the meantime to it's progress.

It is sad that you cannot let the world know about something like that and not have it reflect negatively. My job depends on being stable and healty and yet I am one of the more depressed people I know.

Whatever you decide to do with imjustcreative or GrahamsBlog I encourage you to continue to write and share what you're thinking both personally and professionally!

Hey Graham. I had never seen this site before viewing your Technorati profile. And I would have never guessed that you had issues with depression from following I'm Just Creative so I'd say you're doing a great job compartmentalizing.

I completely understand where you're coming from here. I have a severe anxiety disorder that I fight with daily and try my best to keep out of Arbenting. And like you I keep another blog to talk about things more personal to me yet still fear that it will hurt my freelancing prospects.

Well, if you got depression issues the best thing you can find is support and as you can see you got support here. Even if you don't know or people is not posting in your blog you are being read and people gets used to you. I have had anxiety disorders for my whole life and now they are getting better, I think it is all thanks to internet. Hope you keep sharing with us!
