This is another tune that I have composed, that maybe will be played whilst the coffin is walked in. It's a little more uplifting, plus has a hint of a 'processional' march to it as the Police will be there.

A song I composed for Dad, knowing his time with us was uncertain

As a means of trying to accept the inevitable  over the last few months, I have been putting together a tune together in Garageband.

I am not sure really why I did, but I did. It would make me very sad to do it, try different instruments, to listen to it time and time again, wondering if he would like it. Would always bring a tear to my eyes. I had no intention of showing it to him, more for me. But now I would like to share it...

Garageband Musical Composition - 'Shine On'

APPLE GARAGEBAND

This is the latest in a series of musical compositions that I have put together, this one being one of the most complex but most gratifying of tunes.

I am finding a creative and therapeutic aspect to this 'past-time' and one that I generally am happy with the result, none of the usual 'perfectionism' attitude which usually dogs me...

It is layer upon layer of orchestral sounds, some subtle some not at all. But I think the overall feeling is of 'feel good'. More to come...

As a War of the Worlds fan, I have always loved the Richurd Burton into, makes me tingle, its very powerful. I just wanted to do a small remix mini version of just this bit.

GarageBand - Mish Mash

So this afternoon I have mainly arsed around with GarageBand, get that creativeness out there instead of in there.

What can I say about this track, still has my Southern Rock style in places, but just a mish mash of sounds and stuff. Not at all like what is going on in my head. Not.  Samples, radio snippets, and happy tunez.

I don't often get round to using GarageBand as there are so many other things to do, but when I allow myself a few hours then I will knuckle down and come up with something half decent. This is a quick and dirty track.

This was my second attempt at GarageBand and did it the ever gorgeous Anna in mind, as if you didn't guess from the title. It was simply a birthday present to someone who had helped me see more in life.
